I just wanted to let you know that Ben {Flaps} Berry was a huge hit this past Saturday at the Mt. Olivet Church Men's Breakfast. There were 200 hundred men in attendance including seniors - I think the oldest was 94 - to young boys. He immediately won over many in the audience by stating he used to attend Mt. Olivet many years ago - of course, our Pastor wants him to return. His stories were captivating. He mixed in humor, but most of all they were inspiring for all ages. It helped reinforce the message of staying in school, striving to achieve excellence for God, and believing in oneself. I cannot count the number of messages I have received where the men expressed to me what a great Breakfast it was because of Mr. Berry. It was a great way to start Black History Month. Of course, I told the men this was not just Black History but American History. My one regret is that I forgot to have your dad display his Congressional Gold Medal of Honor. Arthur Price Mt.
