Just as you can’t expect to create and sustain a highly functioning organization unless you have employees with relevant knowledge, experience and capabilities; Managers need to use diverse workforces to engage with people, empower and connect, help people reach their critical potential, and transform diversity into high performance teams. This session treats diversity as recognition of all the differences that go into making people who they are. It employs the audience to treat inclusion as a demonstration of daily behaviors that encourage all employees to feel included, trusted and respected. This systematic way of thinking leverages the richness and variety of the diverse workforce in order to fuel innovation and extraordinary business performance and best-in-class service excellence!

The Business Incentive -- To meet the needs of all the people we serve in Oregon. Managing diversity is related to organizational success and fulfilling the mission of Trust and Inclusion in the Workgroup.  In today’s government business environment – stronger expression of accountability to the public than ever before.

Being seen as an accountable steward for the resources that are provided us and those that we generate. Through diversity we cast a broader net of accountability.
